Active Sensitive – Understanding Different Cultures

Dr. Ariadne Miranda, our partner from AMCommunicationCollective.org, specializes in breaking down language barriers and fostering clear, effective communication. With a Ph.D. in communication and years of experience teaching English as an additional language to adults at all proficiency levels, she brings deep expertise in cross-cultural communication and language accessibility. Dr. Miranda is dedicated to helping organizations and local communities connect by finding practical solutions to ensure mutual understanding

Dr. Ariadne Miranda

Dr. Maya Lane brings a passion for language, culture, and mental well-being. She works with individuals with migration backgrounds and organizations, specializing in culturally sensitive education and supporting those with low education or language proficiency. She has an EDD in Curriculum and Instruction and more than 30 years of experience teaching youth and adults in public schools, universities, and as the founder and CEO at NicerFL Welcome Centers for New Immigrants. Her work is deeply inspired by the belief that language and education are powerful tools to connect people and foster mutual understanding.
