Social buddy mentor
This initiative pairs individuals or families with a one-on-one mentor who offers personalized
support, whether online, in-center, or in social spaces.
Career mentorship
We pair refugees and new immigrants with experienced professionals who provide guidance on career development, job searching, and networking in their new environment. This supportive relationship helps mentees build confidence, gain industry insights, and navigate the local job market effectively.
Florida life and culture program
Participants engage in group sessions
focused on enhancing English language skills while learning about Florida’s culture and community. The curriculum includes topics like managing finances, using technology, understanding healthcare, navigating local resources, and addressing immigration concerns to help newcomers thrive.
Study buddy program
The Study Buddy Program provides personalized academic support to students through both online and in-person sessions, catering to their individual learning needs. This program aims to strengthen their understanding of various subjects, boost confidence, and help them achieve academic success.

groups to help them adapt, heal, and thrive.

Referrals
NicerFL Welcome Centers provide referrals to agencies and community resources, including housing assistance,
legal aid, healthcare services, language classes, and employment programs, to help immigrants and refugees access the support they need.
Community Speakers
Speakers are invited to discuss salient issues on transportation, rentals and housing, legal,
women’s rights, employment rights, insurance, etc.
Art and music workshops for kids
Inclusive arts and music workshops designed specifically for newcomer refugee and immigrant youth, offering a safe and creative space to explore self-expression, build confidence, develop artistic skills, and foster connections within their new community.
Wellbeing sessions
These include social events at the center, support groups to share experiences, workshops on coping
with change and transition, and creative outlets like art and music therapy to help immigrants and refugees process
emotions and foster healing.
