Igor Kosstin

Ukrainian Support Group Coordinator, Sarasota

Igor Kosstin is the coordinator of the NicerFL Ukrainian Support Group and a dedicated mentor and tutor.  He arrived in the United States with his family in April 2022 as part of the first wave of Ukrainian refugees, following the disruption of his life due to the war.  Initially a university engineering student in Odessa, Ukraine, Igor faced significant challenges during his resettlement.  Despite these obstacles, he actively engaged with NicerFL, beginning as a student and mentee before transitioning to a tutor for fellow Ukrainians.  His committment to his community has now led him to take on the role of coordinator for the support group. Igor is also rekindling his college education, aspiring to become an accountant.  His resilience and dedication to helping others exemplify his strength and determination in the face of adversity. Through his work, Igor continues to foster a sense of community and support among Ukrainian refugess in the U.S.
