Petya Getsova

Community Outreach Specialist.

Petya is a dedicated NicerFL Board member and Secretary, as well as a Community Outreach Specialist.  With a strong background in public policy and administration, Petya demonstrates exceptional management and leadership skills, adept at navigating the complexities of government operations.  Fluent in Bulgarian and both British and American English, she is well-equipped to engage with diverse communities.  Her technical expertise includes proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and various database management tools.

Since February 2020, Petya has led the development and implementation of community outreach programs, forming partnerships with local nonprofits to support underserved populations.  Her experience as a Lead Construction Tech for the city of St. Petersburg showcases her ability to manage complex projects, including the transition to an efficient online tree permitting system. Petya has also spearheaded impactful community engagement initiatives, such as the Public Works Academy, which connects high school students with local industries.  Her committment to service is further evidenced by her certification as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for children’s right within the judicial system.
